Hi Anne - yes that's me! I have only recently discovered that the area of Westmeath that my Hynds relatives came from is most probably Ballymurry. I came across a record of the death of one of the brothers (John Hynds) of my great-grandmother (Margaret Hynds Blasingham) in the "Illinois Deaths and Stillbirths 1916-1947" and he lists his father's (Martin Hynds, my g-g-grandfather) birthplace as "Valley Murray, Ireland" which I concluded must actually be Ballymurry - I already knew he was from Co. Westmeath. Martin and his brother Patrick, a sister Mary (married Joh McNellis) and I think another brother Thomas settled in Morris IL where Martin and Patrick had one of the first blacksmith shops there. There are a John and Ellen Hynds buried near my other relatives (in Mt. Carmel cemetery in Morris) who are probably their parents. I would be interested in anything you can tell me about the Hynds family from Ballymurry, everything I know about the family begins with their lives in Illinois. My email is if you would like to contact me directly - thanks! Pam
