I am trying to find more information about Joseph and Julia KAIL that lived in Fremont County beginning around 1910. They were both immigrants from Bohemia.
The family group as shown in the 1920 US Census for Fremont County is:
KAIL Joseph, Head, 42, M, W, married, self/father/mother born Bohemia
KAIL Julia, Wife, 40, F, W, married, self/father/mother born Bohemia
KAIL Mildred, Daughter, 8, F, W, single, born WY
KAIL Joseph M, Son, 2, M, W, single, born WY
I am assuming that these 4 are the same ones buried in Mount Hope Cemetery and listed as follows:
Surname Given Name Birth Death
KAIL Joseph 03 Apr 1877 09 Jan 1958
KAIL Joseph Maxwell 13 Nov 1917 17 Feb 1998
KAIL Julia 17 Feb 1874 30 Aug 1960
KAIL Mildred M. 17 Jan 1912 30 Jul 1952
There is also a Verna Belle KAIL (1918 – 1993) buried here. Does anyone know her relationship to the others? Is she the wife of Joseph Maxwell KAIL?
One of my main goals is to find the immigration records and origins of Joseph and Julia. To start, I am looking for answers to the following questions:
When did Joseph KAIL immigrate to the US?
What is Julia’s maiden name and who are her parents?
Is this Joseph KAIL related to any KAIL families living in Iowa? There is a Joseph KAIL living in Barlow ND about 1909 who is connected to KAIL families from Iowa. Also the 1900 US Census shows a Joseph KAIL, age 17, single, living in Washington Twp, Dallas County, Iowa, in another household. Is this the same Joseph KAIL?
If you have answers to any of these questions or can help me with my search, please contact me.
