I too was Rasied in Lander, Wyoming, My Great Grand Father WILLIAM B. PAINTER WAS the Black smith there in 1880, His son, My Grand Father, JOHN WESLEY PAINTER was 18 years old in 1880, Served his Blacksmith training as a apprentice in the trade, From 1874 to 1885 under his Father William B. Painter. Then John Wesley became a Barber there, He Built the First Barber shop in the Town of Lander, (1886). The Painters were there before 1877, John Wesley Painter,Bought Lots in the oringal Town site of Lander in 1885.In 1886 he Married Martha's Daugther Lucy A. Walker, She is My Grand Mother. She was 18 and John was 24, By Capt. Nickerson. Martha E. Gill Is His (JONH'S)- Mother - inlaw. She is my Great Grand Mother,Martha Elizabeth Sartain, Walker. Goodrich, Gill.I have recived an up date that she Married WILLIAM Child.But she has just droped off the face of the earth again She lived to the age of 82, Died 1928. Her Folk's (Martha's) were early Pioneer's of the (Little Popo Agie)There Names were WILLIAM DAVID SARTIAN and His Wife EUPHAMIA (BRUTON) SARTAIN. Both French HUGUENOT'S. I would like any information on there Place of Burial. They are all Deceased there at Lander.But can't find them.The Painter's are at Mount Hope Cemetery, Lander.
LANDER, SWEETWATER COUNTRY, was Changed to Lander, Fremont County, the Year of 1884 I Believe.

P. S. Martha had Lots 16,17,18 at Garfield Street, of the Lander Townsite company. (1891).
