To the good People of Fremont County, Wyoming. (MARTHA ELIZABETH GILL), is my GREAT GRAND MOTHER, HER MAIDEN name is (SARTAN) , MARRIED TO # 1 GEORGE A. WALKER. Married # 2 and Came to Lander with, JACOBS W. GOODRICH. Divorced Jacob's, 1892. #3 Married THOMAS EDWARD GILL,at Lander, Fremont County, Wyoming, 1892, She owned Lots 16, 17 & 18, Block # 23,There at Lander. Her Daugther's were (Jennie L. Walker), Married To HIRAM JOSEPH FARNHAM, at North Fork,Jan.1,1885.(Lucy A. Walker,) Married John W. Painter, on May 22nd, 1886,John Wesley Painter, Had Lot #17, Block #22 on the North side of Garfield st. Town of Lander, Wyoming. there at Lander,John's Father, (William B. Painter) was The blacksmith on the 1880 Census,Sweetwater County,Territory of Wyoming, William was Married to Minnie O'neill, O'neal, She died in 1881 in giving birth to her daugther, Susan Nettie Painter, There at Lander. John Wesley Painter was 18 years old in 1880, serving his Apprenticeship Under his Father William B. Painter. If you would Look at the 1880 census, Mr.Ervin F. Cheney was the wheel wrigth,Not The Blacksmith.
John Wesley Painter, Later Built the first Barber Shop in The town of Lander,Lucy and John Wesley Painter's home was Built on Lots #19 and #20 in Block #2, 315 North 3rd,of the originial town Site of Lander.NOTE! on the 8th, Day of June, 1933, Lucy A. Walker Painter, gave to Fremont County,The Following real estate Lots #19 & #20 in Block #2 of the AMORETTIS ADDITION Thereto, However that said LUCY PAINTER, Have the use and occupy of said Property without any expense to her during her Natural Life Time.
Martha E. Gill Her Mother was there At Lander, Wyoming on the 1910 census, In Her Son inlaws House Charley E. Orchard and her Daugther Mable Grace Goodrich Orchard's,
I would like to Know where my Great Grand Mother SARTAN,WALKER,GOODRICH, GILL DIED AND WAS BURIED OR any Other Information about Her.
I would Like to see the (PAINTER HISTORY), Accurately Documented if possible, If you need Help I have Most all of My Painter Records. Thank you Nick Leuis, and God Bless
