Ruth Hilty Root 1928 auto accident
Posted by: Maureen Morrow (ID *****6463) Date: July 18, 2009 at 12:04:57

We have the briefest of information on an aunt Ruth Root who died in an auto accident on 18 June 1928 near Rawlins, Wyoming. Ruth Hilty was the wife of Floyd Clair Root. She was buried in Sheldon, Nebraska, leaving 3 small children.

Apparently, they were traveling through WY. Her husband d. many years later in Florida. I cannot find her lone burial in Nebraska on-line.

Assuming that the only source of her death information would be a newspaper article, is there a source of archived Rawlins newspapers? We do not need an official state death certificate. Can anyone there look this up for me? Any tips are appreciated.

Thank you, M. M. Morrow
