Lisa, Gold Hill Mine was actually in Carbon County in the Medicine Bow Mountains about 3 miles west of Medicine Bow Peak. There seems to be over a thousand articles on it in the old Laramie newspapers. You can start by going to www.wyonewspapers.org/ and clicking on Browse by City, then Laramie, then Boomerang, then 1890, then October 9, and then Document 8 of 8. This should bring up page 1 for that issue and the very first article is on the mine. You can search for more at the main search using Gold Hill in quotes and restricting to Laramie newspapers. I am not aware of any significant gold mines in northern Albany County so this is probably the one you are inquiring about.
