452 B.G. , 728 SQ, B-17 Buffagator!

Hi,

I am just curious if anyone has info on the 452 B.G., 728 SQ. I hope this is enough info.

I am interested in overall info plus any info on the plane, Buffagator. The plane was named Buffagator because one guy was from Louisiana and another from Buffalo! (per my grandfather)

I'd like to know what happened to the plane and what missions it flew and crew lists. I don't know the number of the plane. Any advice?

Does the government keep up with this kind of thing or is this the kind of info that will fade away along with the veterans? I hope someone is keeping a history with plane numbers and names..etc...

Thanks,
Saran
