Hi Mr. Fox, I ran across your name at http://genforum.genealogy.com/wwii/messages/19483.html. I recently found some of my fathers Naval papers while I was going through old boxes of paperwork. From what I can figure, he was on this ship sometime during the years 1944-1945. I have been able to find little information about the ship, just odds and ends, and I was wondering if you could tell me what kind of ship she was, and what her mission was. My father's name was Leroy Ode Plaskett. I would be extremely grateful for any information you can give me and if you can steer me in a direction for further research.
Thank you in advance for your help !!
