If these battles were listed on his discharge papers, and he was a medic, i would think in was in those battles. I found his enlistment papers and some Federal Census documents on your father,on ancestry.com if you are interested in seeing these documents, please do get back with me. I don't know if i can copy and paste those documents to this site.
