Micah, I have found some information and FACTS that may be of interest to you. And believe it or not, these FACTS were found on the internet.

This link is to a Signal Corp Technical Information Letter dated December 1944. In it you will find some historical FACTS and operations of the 431st and later the 435th Signal Construction Battalion in Italy. Following some of that historical content you will find technical FACTS on the equipment used in the Signal Battalion.

This link is to a newspaper article in the Milwaukee Journal that shows the 435th Signal Battalion returning to the United States on July 19, 1945 at Hampton Roads, Virginia.,884115

I saw on another web site where you mentioned a book; Through the Eyes of a Signal Corpsman: A Diary Written by Charles Bowman While Serving during World War II. Here is a link to Abe Books that has one copy available.
