If "441st Bomb Squad of the 320th Bomb Group" is typed in Box #6 of your father's "separation papers" that was the unit your father was assigned to when he was discharged from the US Army. In my OPINION, your father was "in the Infantry with the Army Ground Forces." At some point your father was no longer able to serve with the Infantry in the A.G.F., but still able to serve in the US Army.
What is typed in Box #34 of your father's "separation papers"? Also, the sets of dates, horizontally, in Box #36? The contents of Box #31?
