RAF who trained in Canada

I was adopted at birth. Some twenty years ago I found my birth mother. She told me my birth father was with the RAF training under the BCATP in or near Winnipeg, Manitoba and went by the name of "Marty". He was likely a Flying Officer or Pilot Officer. In May 1943 he told my b/m that he was being returned to active duty. That was when I was conceived. He returned to the UK and was reported KIA over France Sept,'43. He told my b/m he was from West Bromwich, was about 27 at the time, had blond hair and blue eyes.

I've turned over every stone I can think of to determine who he might be. The RAF can provide nothing without a name or service number. The RCAF states they no longer have any records of who might have trained in Canada. I've tried newspaper advertisments in West Bromwich and have searched the Commonwealth Graves Commission for possible names but there's just too many casualties. A very sad exercise, indeed. I've visited the War Museum in Brandon, spoken to people there but, alas, no solid leads.

I'm hoping there's someone out there who might have had a relative who also trained at that time and might have information.
