Thank you so much for your suggestions. I am still trying to help my friend find more information about her husband's father.

I recently found a listing for Edgar Miller in the US Dept of Veteran's Affairs BIRLS Death File 1850-2010 on Ancestry.com. The information correlates with the information we found in the US NARA records of his enlistment and the NARA POW record.

I think the Edgar W Miller on Find A Grave in SC is probably the same person. I have contacted the creator of the memorial page to see if she knows if the Church has records of the burials at the cemetery in SC.

I think we have the right Edgar Miller. Does anyone know if the Veteran's Admin has or can release information from his benefits file?

Any further suggestions would be appreciated. This has been a slow process but we continue to find some bits of information.

Best regards,
Kate
