Descendants of Mike J. Holly - KIA July 13, 1944

I have been trying for some time to find any descendants of Pvt. Mike J. Holly (36697257), who served with the 90th Division/358th Reg. Co. K. and who was killed on July 13, 1944.

I have his IDPF and personnel file.

Mr. Holly's foxhole buddy was severely wounded during the incident but survived, was immediately captured and was a POW for a little over a month in a German hospital at Rennes, France before being liberated in late August'44. He is still alive and would like to make contact with one of Mr. Holly's relatives if possible.

Mr. Holly was from Chicago,Il. and was born Feb.27, 1913. His father's name was Mike or Michael ( NMI) Holly. His mother's name was Anna Spitzelberger Holly and he had a brother, Joseph Steve Holly ( age unknown).

At the time of Mike Holly's death the family lived at 5411 South Maplewood Ave.in Chicago( their prior address was 2009 West Marquette). I was able to trace the family thru Chicago city directories as living at the Maplewood Ave. address thru 1966. I haven't been able to locate an obituary for either parent to find surviving relatives.

Also, the IDPF indicates that "On May 31, 1944, Mike Holly deposited $20.00 with the Finance Dept. APO 350 for transmittal to Miss Estelle Hutchins." Finding Estelle Hutchins and/or her relatives are of interest too.

Any assistance or advice in locating Mr. Holly's descendants or the relatives of Miss Hutchins is greatly appreciated.
