Since your cousin is shown on the WWII Memorial with a photograph posted by Linda Hallahan - she may have the complete photo which would show his shoulder patch and thus identify his unit. Horrell's suggestion for his IDPF will give more info than anything else. Also check for his burial record in National grave locator.
