Dear Ms. Stevens,
You are welcome. There is a wait, but I have never experienced 6 months. Generally 3-4 months. You are lucky, the Naval Personnel Files were not "destroyed" during the infamous July 1973 fire at 9700 Page Avenue, St. Louis, MO. Growing up in St. Louis, I remember the fire well.
