Dave - I appreciate the response. However, that's the same letter that has been sent out for 10-15 years...We have three French Historians for the 90th Division who request two IDPF's every 6 months for free.. It's part of an IDPF project where we're compiling all IDPF's for 3,300 plus men from the 90th who were killed in WWII.

I just received an IDPF by email on Sept. 27th...This would be my recommendation to anyone wanting to request a file.... keep requests to two requests every six months.they should continue to be free.

The rumor here at the NPRC in St. Louis is that the IDPF's will be transferred there within 24 months....the IDPF's are vital to personnel file re-constructions , which the NPRC does on a regular basis.

Of course, who knows what the truth is when the govt. is involved.

Best Regards,
Norm
