Thank you for the help. I am trying to help a friend find information about her husband's father. We have very little information to go on and do not know the unit he served with.

The clarification on his Enlistment papers helped. He went into service in 1940 (probably not the Philippines), was a prisoner in 1944 in Europe, and was released in 1945.

There is very little information about him after he got home so we tried to go back and see the earliest documents we could find. Other than the 1930 Fed Census, we have not been able to find much at all other than the two NARA files.

There is no way to tell if the "Miller, E" listed in Barracks #23 of Stalag 9B is the man we are searching for.

I appreciate you taking the time to give us your perspective.
