According to the North Carolina death records, Viola Watford Windham died January 29, 1960. She lived at Route 6, Charlotte, NC, at the time of her death. She was retired from a bakery; record states she was born in Darlington, S.C. She apparently had a stroke, and she is buried at Sharon Memorial Park Cemetery, Mecklenberg Co., NC. It appears that the informant for her death was Mrs. C. A. Lee, a daughter?

Willie Albert Windham died 21 Sept 1955, in Charlotte, NC; his wife was listed as Viola Watford Windham. There is more information if you need it. He was born Sept 3, 1879.
He was buried at Sharon Memorial Park as well.

I thought I might find relatives and could sort of "back into" finding your Jessie by finding relatives. Here is what I find:

Death Certificate for Mrs. Maggie McLean, died Sep 30, 1930, born Darlington, SC; father was Jessie Windham, mother was Margaret Windham. Born Nov 7, 1870. Died in Guilford Co., NC.
