I think you may be mixing the wars up, the only time the 6th Infantry was in Philippine Insurrection 1899 to 1902
Campaigns engaged in were Jolo, Negros 1899, and Panay 1900 (source: http://www.history.army.mil/html/forcestruc/lineages/branches/inf/0006in001bn.htm )

WW2 canpaigns were
*Algeria-French Morocco
(with arrowhead)
*Tunisia
*Naples-Foggia
*Anzio
*Rome-Arno
*North Apennines
*Po Valley
