Albert Parks/Parkes

Is it possible for someone to tell me if an Albert Parks/Parkes served in one of the Surrey Regiments England during WW2. On his son's birth cert 1922 Albert is listed as a disabled soldier but i can find no records for him. Kind Regards. Rachel
