The IDPF has much information, but is by no means his complete service record....it will have nothing regarding where he trained or even what his unit was encountering when he died.

I was also told last month from an archivist at the NPRC that the new address to obtain an IDPF is:

Dept. Of the Army
U.S. Army Human Resources command
ATTN; AHRC-FOIA
1600 Spearhead Division Avenue
Dept. 107
Ft. Knox, Ky. 40122

Additionally, I was told that the Army IDPF's are to be transferred to St. Louis' archives within two years since they are used to Re-construct personnel files.

For Navy IDPF's :

Navy Personnel Command
Casualty Affairs
ATTN: PERS-621
5720 Integrity Drive
Millington, Tn. 38055-0000

Tel. contact: 901-874-4300

Please feel free to contact me directly if you are interested in obtaining the morning report that has his name listed from the day he was killed. It will not be difficult to obtain.

Norm Richards
