Help finding Uncle service record
Posted by: Kate Nesbitt (ID *****6494) Date: March 11, 2011 at 18:28:59

Name:        Donald E Wright
Inducted From:        Massachusetts
Rank:        Staff Sergeant
Combat Organization:        735th Bomber Squadron 453rd Bomber
Death Date:        6 Mar 1944
Monument:        Cambridge, England
Last Known Status:        Missing
U.S. Awards:        Purple Heart Medal
Air Medal

Is it possible to find service records at this late date? Any suggestions on how to find his records would be greatly appreciated.

Can I assume the monument in Cambridge was a commemorative monument for US servicemen, since he is listed as missing?

Thank you,
Kate
