I recently found a box of newspapers from West Virginia
The Charleston Daily Mail starting Dec.10, 1944 - Nov 1945
Unfortunatly they are not consecutive (Approx. 115 issues mostly front pages)almost 400 pages total. Many of them have military personnel listings under the heading
"West Virginian's on the War Front"
with the names of miitary along with a famliy member and the area they lived, there are also a number of photographs of military personnel. some issues also include birth notices and obit's. I have taken pictures of the pages and close-ups of the names of the military personnel, birth notices and obits. if anyone is interested or if there is a place to up load the pages please contact me at anthonyhouse@lycos.com
