I guess lots of people in Italy have the same names as do people in the states.

Start here,

When you get to this page, put "Ferro" in the find function of your browser without the quotation marks.

You are looking for,,,,

THE BRETTO ATROCITY (March 23, 1945)
The power station at Bretto, near Udine, in Northern Italy, was guarded by a unit of the Italian Carabinieri consisting if twelve men, etc. etc. etc.

A Antonio Ferro is named here. This may or may not be him, if not you can eliminate this Antonio Ferro as the one you are looking.

As you live in Italy, this will be easy for you.

Hope this will help some, good luck,
