Jeanne,
I'm happy to help. You may already know this, but you may be able to get a copy of Henry Albert Fisher's service summary, which was issued for nearly all WWI soldiers from New York. The summary includes the units he was in and the dates he was in them, the dates he left for and arrived home from overseas, and other info. Given that the full Army records were destroyed in the St. Louis fire, the summaries are a gold mine for anyone researching New York soldiers.
You'll find a request form for summaries here:

You'll also have to send a check for $1.00. In my experience it takes about a month to get the summary from the time you mail your request.
Recently, though, Ancestry.com put the cards online, so if you have a subscription (if you don't, most public libraries do, and it doesn't cost a dime), you can get a jpg copy very quickly. Go to ancestry.com and search their catalog for the collection "New York, Abstracts of World War I Military Service, 1917-1919." Then search on that.
Good luck!
