136 Infantry

The findagrave marker for my uncle & partial namesake reads:
Mech Co C 136 Infantry World War I
The only information I find for a 136th Infantry regiment says it was from Minnesota although it was called "the Prairie Division"
Can anyone give me any details about this regiment?
What I read at
http://www.33rdinfantrydivision.org/index.html
was not very helpful

Leroy Bryant Jenkins 1892-1971 was from Osawatomie, Kansas
died in Pendleton, Umatilla, Oregon; buried Olney Cemetery there
He is believed to have served in France

Thank you

Charles Leroy Walthall
