At the time I posted the above response I did not have any records - only my knowledge having been involved with WW-I and WW-II burials of 80th Division soldiers in the ABMC Cemeteries.
As for Joseph J Daly 42nd Div injured July 16, 1918 - he probably was near the town of Chateau-Thierry on the Marne River. From"Order of Battle of the United States Land Forces in the World War - Divisions" published by US Army in 1931: "July 15-17 Div participates in the Champagne-Marne Operation. July 15 the enemy atacks on the front of the Argonne Forest, Reims, and Chateau-Thierry. In the zone of the Fr XXI Corps the troops are withdrawn from the Main Line of Resistance to the Intermediate Position which is defended and held and where elements of the 42nd Div participate."
Look for your Joseph in a cemetery near his family's home town in the 1920's
