I'm not sure if he was married. I know for a fact he was not married to my grandmother at that time...she was only 4 years old. My grandfather was 19 years older than my grandmother. I'm not sure what he did in the first 19 years of his life. No one in the family even knew he was in the military. We just stumbled across that on ancestry.com.

I have been to the Maryland State Archives, and they did not have any information about the Maryland House of Correction inmates at that time. I'll try the county library next. Thank you.
