Terry:
I am not related.
There is a WWI draft registration for McKinley Gartley, born 29 April 1896, Byron NY
He was working as a mechanic, registered in Erie Co., June 7, 1917, was married.
McKinely also appears in the 1910 census, son of Hugh & Louisa Gartley; he appears again in the 1920 census, which means he was not killed in WWI, with wife Agnes. And again in the 1930 census with Agnes and children.
ancestry.com shows a tree that indicates that he married Agnes B. Aust abt 1906.
I can send the draft registration if you'd like to contact me at home.
