The Widows of WW1
Posted by: Dana Nowak (ID *****2024) Date: May 31, 2011 at 10:54:34

I am looking for any info on a group for ladies whose husband's served in WW1. It was called "The Widows of WW1" They had chapters all over California back in thhe 60's and 70's and held a yearly convention in Sacramento. My Grandmother belonged to this group. She was the state musician and knew all the WW1 songs, "It's a long way to Tipperary", "My Buddy", and "Are you lonesome tonite?" If anyone knows about this group, I'd be interested to find out about them. Thanks, Dana
