Thanks for your help. I am new to genealogy, started around Thanksgiving of 2009. Don't have much information other than he was born in Whitfield, Georgia around 1885 and he moved to Autauga, Alabama around 1920 when my Granny had only been in school for about two years. His name was Isiah Yancy but everyone called him Charlie. I tried SSDI but there are so many Watkins I was trying to narrow it down. I don't even know if he lived long enough to apply as I don't have any death info. I really appreciate your advice. Thanks again.
