Thanks. I don't think Whitfield County, Georgia had birth certificates before the early 1900's. Do you think my estimated birth sometime between 1882 - 1886 is the closest accurate calculation to be determined at this time? I hope his birth date is in my Grandmother's family Bible. I am going on a quick trip to Georgia in June and I plan to get photographs and copies as I luckily located the original in December. I haven't seen it since I was about ten years old and so obviously I don't remember who or what all is in it. I have a confirmed birth for his wife, Maggie Bell Maguirt in July of 1899. On the 1930 and 1920 census he is recorded 7 to 8 years older than her. My problem is that in Henry County, Georgia 1910 he is 23 to her 20. They had been married about three years. Maybe he had shaved about five years off his age so that she would marry him? There could have been confusion about how the questions were posed? I don't know. Any suggestions or ideas welcome.
