Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

Tanja,

Where did this Nick serve in WW I?

How do you know he served in WW I?

Should we assume your Grandfather, John, lived in Allegheny County PA?

There is a Draft Registration for

Name: Nick Bishop
County: Allegheny
State: Pennsylvania
Birthplace: Italy
Birth Date: 11 Jul 1889

However this does NOT mean he served as aliens would not be drafted, but all men were required to register.

Vasto Girardi is part of the placename where he was born but Molisce is not.... there is another word there.

Robert
