WW I Registration/MIA

I have a great uncle from Perry County, Ohio who went away to war and never returned. I cannot find his draft registration or anything on him. I have a picture of him in uniform, but not sure what division, but think it is the calvary. Can anyone tell me where to go to find any info? I don't know if the family received any kind of compensation or not. His name was Charles Szekes, he immigrated from Hungary, born in 1892. The name has been spelled so many different ways; Saykish, Szakas, etc.
