Gefangenenlager, Germany - prisoner of war camp

Hi
My grandfather Edwin Truscott was injured and taken prisoner at Guillemont, France on 8 August 1916. We know he spent some time in a prisoner of war camp, but are not sure where it was or when he was released. Can anyone point me in the right direction to find out?

By the way, due to a mix up, his name was entered on the war memorial at Widnes, Lancs. He was quite proud of this but never really wanted to talk about his war experiences and we don't know how it happened.

Thanks
April
