147th Field Artillery Regiment - William Bulter, Btry "A", Private

My great-grandfather, William F. Bulter, was a Private in Battery A, of the 147th Field Artillery Regiment during WW1. I'm wondering if someone could find him on an official record. I'm attempting to get all his military information for my family as he died in `58 and I've started finding information on him including a very old photo album of what looks like photos from WW1 and an artillery shell. I know the unit information but I'm wondering if someone could verify him being in that unit during WW1 or even at a later time, under the same name.
