Thanx Richard, Like a.s., I could find no records for a given name Penn that might fit. Since Thomas was born in 1920 it would seem likely that his father was not drafted, but enlisted in the military. The war was over. Draftees would have been discharged after the war ended but enlistees would have served out the terms of their enlistment. Do you have Thomas' baptismal record? There may be a clue in the sponsors named on the record. Dick
