Hi Kim, Have a safe & rewarding holiday. Just wanted to make sure Walfred's draft card was not all you were going on. The draft was a civil requirement & had nothing to do with the military. Since he had a dependent child, I doubt he would have been drafted, so he probably enlisted. Unfortunately a fire destroyed most to the WWI military records at the personnel office in St. Louis but you can always try. Also, Walfred may have had his discharge papers recorded at the county he was living in when he got out. Might try that route. Dick
