World war 1 Aviation is a popular topic, Some Books that immediately come to mind include:
The Red Knight of Germany by Floyd Gibbons.
The Red Fighter Pilot, By the Baron Himself, it's available online, written while he was on leave in Berlin.
Or, for the American Version:
Fighting the Flying Circus by Eddie Rickenbacker, an American Ace.
They Fought for the Sky, by Quentin Reynolds.
All of these should be immediately available at any library and most 2nd hand bookstores. BTW, The name King does not appear in the index of these four books.
See also the 2006 Movie, "Flyboys" about the Lafayette Escadrille, Americans who fought for France before America entered the war. It has a silly love story, but a large amount of historical accuracy and fabulous special effects.
