Bronx, NY Regiments 1917

Hi,

My great granduncle, Dennis Cahill, was a soldier from Bronx, NY, during World War 1. I am trying to determine which regiment he would've been in. Family lore says that he was shell shocked, in France. (Spent time in NY Veterans Hospital.) He never got married. I have contacted the NY State Archives for more information. They have good information pertaining to NY City in WW1. Any information about Bronx regiments is helpful. (dates of organization, theatre of war served in..)

Thanks for helping with my research,

Stefan
