The first and only request to NARA was August 2003. They said unable to help because of either too little info provided or records needed were destroyed in july 1973 fire. Only info I have to go on is from death certificate.
I have re-read papers/forms returned to me from NARA. Will try calling my nearest VA facility and see if a claim was filed with the department of Veterans Affairs where some medical records were sent prior to the 1973 fire.
Any other thoughts or advice appreciated. Thank
you for your time.
