Company A, 19th Battalion, U.S. Guards, Camp Logan

I am searching for information regarding my Grandfather's service during WW1. He did not serve overseas, but was discharged from the following unit and location: Company A, 19th Battalion, U.S. Guards, Camp Logan. I have had little luck in tracking down his time of service. His records were apparently lost in the great fire at the National Personnel Records Center. All that they could provide was the above information. Someone, please help! I would forever be greatful!
