Mary, The details I gave you were for William JOHN Grant, service no. 33488, date of death 05/08/1917, remembered on the Menin Gate, Ypres. I assume this is same man you are interested in. He's the only William Grant in the Oxford and Bucks Light Infantry. There is a medal card for this man, follow this link
http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/documentsonline/details-result.asp?Edoc_Id=2570762&queryType=1&resultcount=1http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/documentsonline/details-result.asp?Edoc_Id=2570762&queryType=1&resultcount=1
You'd have to buy the image for £3
unfortunately the information on a medal card is a bit of a lottery, it can either tell you lots of things, like the date the man entered a theatre of war and which one, any mentions in despatches etc and obviously medals they were awarded.
On the other hand it may just say their name and the medals they were awarded.
Hope this helps
Regards
Robert
if you need help working out whats on the medal card let me know by email
