I have a little information on my ancestor but I was wondering if you can help with anything else.
James F. Bridges Fairfax, Alabama, Chambers County
KIA July 27 or 28, 1918
Grave # 197, Sec. C
Amer. Cty.,
Mouroux, S et-M
D.D.7/27/18
His parents were LaFayette and Mollie Bridges. According to the 1900 census he was born in 1896 but according to the Gold Star information he was Born Nov. 25, 1890.
Can you tell me what unit, division or company he was in?
Where did he enlist or was he drafted and when?
Do you know what battle he was killed in?
I understand that the card info that I have tells that he was buried in France but I don't understand the town or city or even the cemetery.
Also according to the Gold Star info he also served in the Mexican Border war. Do you have any of that info?
I appreciate you for doing these lookups very much.
Sincerely,
Elaine Bridges
