Morgan Homer Dyer or Homer Morgan Dyer

Dr. M. H. Dyer was 24 years old in the 1880 (born in 1854) census and lived in Addison, Webster, WV. He is my great grandfather. There are many Dyers in this area and I am seeking any information about him specifically. He died in the 1940's in Charleston, WV. He wrote a book published in 1896 titled "Dyer's Index to Land Grants in West Virginia" which was used for years by attornies doing title searches. At some point he moved to Charleston and was married to a woman who's last name was Byrne. She still has many relatives in the Kanawha Valley. The lineage to me is by Morgan Homer Dyer's son, Byrne Woodell Dyer who married Ada Spruce, who parented, among others, Byrne Woodell Dyer, Jr., who was my father and who is still living at age 82.
