Yes, Buckhannon is the main town in Upshur Co. and is the county seat. There are many communities in Upshur Co. such as French Creek, Adrian, Hodgesville, Hinkleville, Rock Cave but it is the type where there is a grocery store, service station, mostley private homes, maybe a post office, perhaps a grade school and that is just about it. Most people who do their shopping go to Buckhannon, and there is the larger city such as Clarksburg.
