Look up, Jacob R Grove pre 1895 edited the Buchkannon “Busy Bee” a Newspaper. It seems that there are two Buckhannon's. One in Botetourt Co VA, and maybe on in Upshur WV also?

This was reported in the Spirit of Jefferson, Harpers Ferry that he edited the Buckhannon Busy Bee before coming to Harpers Ferry.

Can any one look up if there was an introductory article, or any articles on the Jacob R. Grove family. When did he become editor. By 1895 he purchased the Harpers Ferry Sentinel, and moved to Harpers Ferry.

What I know about the family

His first wife died before he came to Harpers Ferry.

They had four children,

Elizabeth died 23 Feb 1873 in Kinmundy, Ill.

Second Wife
Alien Powell b 1858 Lonaconing, Allegany Co MD
5 children
Georgina Alberta 1876 Lonaconing?
William Powell 1878 Lonaconing?
Edgar Jacob 1880 place?
Lelah Alien 1883 WV (Harpers Ferry?)
Ethel Edna 1885 WV (Harpers Ferry?)
Mary Howell 1898 Harpers Ferry. (my grandmother)
Plus several that died at birth or shortly afterwards.

Jacob died around 1918 in Mainesburg PA.

How you could help.
Did they run his obituary when he died? Information in an obituary could be really helpful.
Any other family weddings, deaths etc?
I am new at this. You may have better ideas

Anything you can do would be much appreciated.

Jim Bryan.
