Leona,
How wonderful to hear from you! Another Morgan cousin! The only thing I have about Lavinia is that she was born in 1828 and married Thomas Hamilton Barton on July 16, 1848 in Kenton County, Kentucky. Was he related in any way to Hannah Hamilton or her father, Thomas Hamilton?
I am descended from Lavinia's brother, Charles Duncan (C.D.) Morgan. C.D. was born on February 13, 1834, in Independence, Kenton County, Kentucky. He married 3 times and had 13 children. He was a Civil Was veteran. C.D. is buried in Beals Cemetery, rural Trilla, Coles County, Illinois. I have much more if you are interested. I would be grateful is you would share your family information with me. Do you know when Zedekiah died and where he is buried? The last census where he appeared (1860) showed he was in Crawford County, Indiana. A cousin and I went to English, Indiana, but found nothing.
I also have some information about John J. Morgan, brother to C.D. and Lavinia. John J. Morgan also moved to central Illinois. Do you have any information about Milton Morgan, another of Zedekiah and Hannah's children?

If you check the Morgan Genforum, Shirley Morgan Schumacker has posted information about Zedekiah's parents. She is descended from Zedekiah's brother, Samuel Morgan.
