John J Love , wife Fanny (Perry) 1870 Upshur Census
Posted by: Bernice Wright (ID *****0707) Date: April 03, 2003 at 04:44:33

Seeking info on John J Love born abt 1844 in Va and wife Fanny, born abt 1846. They along with the following children were on the 1870 Upshur WV census; Minnie, 4; Bryron 2, and Wirt, born April 1870.

This John J Love may be the same John who is on the 1860 Upshur census as the son of John and Mehalea Love:
239 240 John Love, 54
Mehala 47
Anthony, 21
William, 19
Edward, 18
John, 16
Prudence, 11
Simon, 9
Issac, 4
Margaret Sims, 19

Also on the 1850 Barbour Cty Census
820 820 John Love, 44
Mahala, 37
Mary, 18
Byron, 14
Rebecca, 13
Anthony, 11
William, 9
Edward, 7
John, 6
Prudence, 1

One family tree posted on the internet has the info that John J Love was married to Fanny Perry, dau of Elias (Jr) and Adelia Phillips. If that info is correct this may be the family of Adelia Phillips Perry on the 1850 Lewis County Va Census:
1215 1233 Adelia Perry, 45, born Mass
Celestian, male, 24, born Va
Herbert, 21
Lorenzo, 16,
Edwin, 14
Wilbur, 11
Fanny, 9
John, 7
Elias, 5.
They are living next door to Uriah Phillips age 45 also born Mass.Other Phillips' families near by are William Phillips age 56, wife Mahatitle; Horace A age 36, and wife Susannah. William Phillips and Horace A also born Mass.

Thanks,
Bernice
